Hey guys, first of all I'd like to "third" Wei's nomination for prez. I've noticed he, along with myself and a number of others habitually stay long after meeting times to discuss projects/happenings within the club. (Not that this is required) but it definitely does show genuine concern for keeping the club, our projects and progress on track and in forward momentum. That being said, I would like to see some kind of mission statement, or a brief paragraph highlighting some of Wei's ideas for the GCC this year and any plans he may have for the club as prez.
Also, as far as posters nominating others for positions, I think it would be helpful and informative for others looking to cast their vote if we could write a brief explanation as to why we are nominating a certain individual for a position, rather than leaving us unsure as to why exactly a nominator is choosing one nominee...ie. is it because they are a good communicator? is it because they are persistant? or is it because you think they smell good and have nice hair?? We don't know unless it is explained.
As I've been sick the last week 1/2 I've missed the last two meetings, but I'm sure I've met/made an introduction to everyone the first few meetings this quarter as "the guy interested in the Art Director position" (Kevin Adams) Last quarter I worked as the Art director with Jim as he was acting as both Prez and Art director to take some of the work load off his shoulders. From then until now I've been posting various helpful/inspiring videos, images of my work, and advice for art 3d modeling/animation issues. I plan on becoming even more active and making a lot of improvements and opening doors for our artists in the GCC this year to solidify a streamlined process for the art workflow in game creation, from story boarding to modeling, texturing, animation, post production. I'm working on getting us computer lab hours, so we can have art specific meetings to not only discuss our ideas, but put them to work so we can have a group of artists working together sharing ideas, working together to solve problems etc. This will speed up our art production time for the club and allow less experienced members in any aspect of art learn from the the more experienced to help get us all generally on the same level and streamline our production workflow.
I have to end this sooner than I'd like for now or I'll be late to class but I'll post some images of my work, (some are already posted in several threads) the music, story idea, 3d character for the zombie game. But I have much more to post and will do so later this evening. In conclusion.... I'd appreciate your vote for Art Director! Thanks
